LIMITED SPOTS REMAIN FOR EAA'S ULTIMATE WARBIRD TRAINER FANTASY FLIGHT CAMP

EAA AVIATION CENTER, OSHKOSH, Wisconsin — (August 6, 2015) — Dubbed “the ultimate interactive experience,” EAA’s Fantasy Flight Camp is returning September 11-13, 2015. It will give aviation enthusiasts the opportunity to discover more about and fly aboard two of EAA’s own military AAC trainers — the Consolidated PT-3 (the only flying PT-3 in the world) and the North American T-6, also known as the “pilot-maker.” Both aircraft are legends in primary and advanced military training.

During the fantasy flight camp weekend at the EAA Aviation Center in Oshkosh, Wisc., attendees will receive in-depth ground instruction on both aircraft, capped off by a 30- to 35-minute flight in the PT-3 and T-6. Each flight will begin with an informative session on the aircraft and its controls and EAA’s own pilots and instructors will perform the takeoffs.

Once airborne, the pilots will demonstrate the aircraft’s operations while attendees get ready to take the controls. Participants will then be able to experience flying these historic aircraft, which are sure to deliver unforgettable memories and one of a kind logbook entries.  The cost of the weekend experience is $1,500, which includes room and board, ground schools, instructional materials, and flight experiences.

“EAA has created an aviation opportunity that is unlike anything else in the world,” said Bob Campbell, EAA’s museum director. “Participants can discover more about these classic aircraft in the company of fellow flight enthusiasts and add an unique notation to their pilot logbooks, all here in Oshkosh at the home of sport aviation.”
