The popularity of all-metal aircraft designs continues to grow thanks to the many advantages of aluminum alloy construction. An overview of the design and construction of Zenith kit aircraft which utilize semi-monocoque sheet-metal 6061-T6 aluminum alloy construction and the extensive use of blind (pulled) rivets. Modern computer-aided CAD design and CNC kit manufacturing makes all-metal aircraft kits easier and quicker to build, with final hole-size match drilled parts.
