We Welcome Ren Scott — EAA's Link to Canadian Council
By Ian Brown, EAA 657159, Editor - Bits and Pieces, Board Member - EAA Canada Council
September 2021 – Ren Scott, EAA 1290575, has been added to the EAA team as the new manager of partnership development. One of those partners is the Canadian Council. Ren will be our go-to person and will participate in all our Canadian Council calls and discussions. He wrote us this bio.
“My interest in aviation began at an early age when I would listen to my grandfather talk about flying P-51 Mustangs in the Pacific theater during WWII, and later the F-86 Sabre Jet for the Maryland Air National Guard. I began taking flying lessons when I was 15 years old, and also soloed that same year. After I soloed I got caught up in high school and sports, but eventually earned my private pilot’s certificate while in college. I attended Averett University in Virginia where I majored in aviation management. I have spent the past 15 years in business development, sales, and customer relations for Department of Defense contractors. I finally wound my way back to the aviation community here at EAA, and I am thrilled for the opportunity. I look forward to bringing my experience in customer relations to the table and working closely with the Canadian Council team, as well as the Canadian EAA members in the future.”
