EAA Members Take Home Top Marks at Valdez 2019

May 16, 2019 - EAA members CC Pocock, Mike Patey, and Dennis Serie all finished first in their respective classes at the 2019 Valdez Fly-In & Air Show STOL Competition.

CC, EAA 1144988, led the way in a crowded field of aircraft in the Light Touring class in a Cessna 170B. Mike, EAA 1118534, took home the top finish in the Turbine class in his heavily modified Wilga, Draco. Dennis, EAA 1305757, won out in the Bush class in a Piper PA-18A.

Additionally, James Spikes was the top finisher in the Heavy Touring class, and Tom Hudzinski won in the Alternate Bush class, featuring experimental aircraft. The 2019 Valdez Fly-In took place May 10-12 in Valdez, Alaska.
