Phillips 66 Aviation Helps EAA Young Eagles Pilots Soar
September 7, 2017 - Phillips 66 Aviation supports EAA and the more than 2 million future pilots who’ve flown with the program. A special recognition goes out to Eric Whyte who was named Phillips 66 Aviation’s 2017 Young Eagles Leadership Award winner, an annual honor given to an EAA Young Eagles volunteer who has gone above and beyond with their contributions to the program. Eric’s experience with the Young Eagles program is unique, holding the distinction of being the first individual to transition from Young Eagle to Young Eagles volunteer pilot. To date he’s flown nearly 600 Young Eagles.
Phillips 66 Aviation also is happy to recognize Ben Van Handel, the first recipient of the Phillips 66 Aviation EAA Flight Training Award. The award provides $13,200 to help make an individual’s dreams of flight a reality. Ben is currently in flight training at the Phillips 66 Aviation branded Fond du Lac Skyport.
