Memorial Wall Ceremony at AirVenture 2021 Honors Loved Ones

August 17, 2021 – On the closing Sunday of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2021, the EAA Aviation Foundation hosted the Memorial Wall ceremony. This annual heartwarming ceremony includes a poignant reading of inductees' names, a breathtaking missing man flight formation, and concludes with the playing of taps. With the cancellation of AirVenture 2020, we honored both the 2020 and 2021 inductees, totaling 82 inductees. With combining the two years, we had a very great turnout — over 260 attendees!

The Memorial Wall next to Fergus Chapel gives families a quiet place to remember those who have gone before us. Created by Paul Poberezny to serve as a place where family and friends could honor their loved ones in dignity, the first ceremony was held at EAA Oshkosh 1989. Learn more about adding a loved one on the Memorial Wall here.

All Memorial Wall inscription submissions received now until April 20, 2022, will be for EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2022. Please email donor@eaa.org or call 888-500-5600 with questions.
