Chapel and Compass Hill

A quaint, old-time chapel located next to a quiet pond – the perfect backdrop for beautiful pictures – the Fergus Chapel provides an intimate setting for weddings, baptisms, or memorial services.

The chapel is located between the EAA Nature Center and Pioneer Airport and includes easy, separate access off Waukau Avenue.

Fergus Chapel is typically available and package in conjunction with the rental of a reception area on Saturdays, and is available on its own other days of the week and weekends for wedding ceremonies.

Worship Services:

Fergus Chapel, located by Pioneer Airport and KidVenture, hosts non-denominational services for AirVenture Oshkosh participants who are away from their normal worship routines. The chapel is the first permanent building built by EAA on the grounds. The pews were once part of an old country church and brought here by Paul Poberezny. Refinished and installed, they give Fergus Chapel the appearance of a typical rural Wisconsin church.

For more information on worship services taking place throughout the week, visit our Worship Services page.

Fellowship of the Wing:

During AirVenture, "Fellowship of the Wing" is a daily opportunity to gather at Fergus Chapel, share a cup of coffee, a song, and experience the intersection of flight and faith.
