Girls on the Fly is free for girls who will be 13-18 years of age on September 26th, 2026.
Aviation, it’s not just for pilots!
Curious about aviation as a hobby or career? Experience the wonders of aviation. This one-day event will introduce you to the joys of flight, provide hands-on experiences with fabrication and/or avionics, and inspire you to explore the many facets of aviation.
Planned activities may include:
- Hearing from girls and women who love aviation.
- Experiencing flight through Young Eagles flights (weather permitting).
- Practicing basic flight maneuvers on our flight simulators.
- Learning about the physics of flight while building your own RC airplane.
- Building coding skills by programming our robots to meet a series of challenges.
- Viewing the airport from the air traffic control tower and talking to controllers about their careers.
Registration will go live in early August.
