Aircraft building experts offer tips and skills during sixth annual EAA Homebuilders Week

Free weeklong online series coming January 26-30, 2026

EAA AVIATION CENTER, OSHKOSH, Wisconsin — (December 11, 2025) — New and experienced aircraft builders can sharpen their skills or learn new ones as the Experimental Aircraft Association brings back its Homebuilders Week series of online webinars on January 26-30, 2026.

“The homebuilt community continues to evolve every year as new builds begin and current ones become airworthy,” said Charlie Becker, EAA’s director of chapters and homebuilt community manager. “No matter what stage of the process a new or experienced builder is at, EAA Homebuilders Week has a webinar to meet their needs.”

EAA Homebuilders Week’s 30 virtual presentations are open, free of charge, to everyone interested in building aircraft. Registration is required and space is limited. The event is sponsored by Aircraft Spruce & Specialty, Dynon, Scheme Designers, and Van’s Aircraft.

The six daily live presentations will begin at 11:30 a.m. Central Time each day (January 26-30) and continue until 8:15 p.m. It will include everything from getting started successfully to techniques when building with sheet metal and composites. New and experienced builders will also find in-depth talks on panel planning, wiring, engine installation, FAA certification, and flight testing. EAA’s advocacy team will host a webinar on Monday, January 26, at 2:30 p.m. to provide updates on current issues for homebuilders as well as cover MOSAIC/Sport Pilot 2.0 and other changes and challenges to the industry. The live sessions will also allow time for attendee questions. Some webinars are eligible for FAA WINGS and AMT credit. Recordings will be archived and available to EAA members for review after the week’s presentations are completed.

The technology used during EAA Homebuilders Week is based on the success of EAA’s webinar series, which has welcomed more than 300,000 people for presentations since 2010. Updated schedule and presentation information, as well as registration details, is available at EAA.org/HomebuildersWeek.
