EAA AVIATION CENTER, OSHKOSH, Wisconsin — (March 17, 2026) — The EAA Aviation Museum’s 2026 schedule is rapidly expanding as four events have been introduced for the summer and fall months.

Wings on Strings returns on May 30 after a hiatus of more than a decade. Kids of all ages are welcome to bring their own kites, or build one inside of the EAA Aviation Museum, to fly at Pioneer Airport. Members of the Wisconsin Kiters Club will also showcase their premium kites during demonstrations throughout the day. All activities will be included with regular museum admission.

Discovery Day debuts on June 6. Building off the success of similar events such as Girls on the Fly, Discovery Day is a one-day event for all kids ages 13 and up to participate in hands-on aviation experiences at the Youth Education Center area of the museum. Activities include a drone challenge, soldering, and flight simulators. Discovery Day is free to attend. Online pre-registration is required and will open in April.

Roads and Runways takes over Pioneer Airport on September 19. Classic car enthusiasts are invited to bring their vintage vehicles to the museum to take part in a car show at Pioneer Airport. Roads and Runways is included with regular museum admission.

ScaleVenture makes its long-awaited return on October 17. Model aviation will be on full display throughout the museum as builders bring the best pieces from their collections to showcase. The October edition of the Museum Speaker Series will coincide with the event, with the speaker to be named later. ScaleVenture and the Speaker Series presentation will be included with regular museum admission, with EAA members being admitted free.

Wings on Strings, Roads and Runways, and ScaleVenture are sponsored by Alro Steel, Capital Credit Union, Community First Credit Union, Cozumel Bar & Grill, Kwik Trip, OSMS, Pilotsmith, Sargento, and The Tacqueria. Discovery Day is sponsored by Airbus, DATC, Flite Test, and Wipaire.

More information about all Museum events can be found on the EAA website.
