By John Egan, EAA 336835, EAA Chapters Manager
August 22, 2017 - On Saturday morning during EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2017, chapter leaders gathered to enjoy a fly-in style breakfast in the EAA Aviation Museum. The annual event provides another opportunity for chapter leaders to meet, establish new friendships, and congratulate this year’s chapter award winners.
Each year, the EAA chapter staff recognizes and awards chapter members who exemplify an outstanding performance in the categories of Newsletter Editor, Web Editor, and Major Achievement, for their personal commitment and contributions to EAA, chapters, and the aviation community. This year’s award winners are as follows:

Terry Cusack, Chapter 976, Carrollton, Georgia
Katie Libecco, Chapter 670, Fort Worth, Texas
John Wigney, Chapter 309, Charlotte, North Carolina
Chapter Web Editor Award Winners
Kevin Stahl, Chapter 2, Fort Wayne, Indiana
Dave Peterson, Chapter 237, Blaine, Minnesota
Chapter Major Achievement Award WinnersBernard Wunder, Chapter 478, Southern Maryland
Steve Rossiter, Chapter 517, Western, Montana

Our winners are truly deserving of these awards. Their hours of hard work contribute to the success of our chapters, and their efforts to foster sport aviation are certainly recognized and appreciated by their respective chapter members, officers and EAA as a whole. Please join me in congratulating our fellow EAA members for a job well done.
Please consider entering a member of your local chapter for an award at AirVenture 2018 by completing the online nomination forms, which will be available in April 2018.
