EAA Chapter 1126 Recognizes Lloyd Richards

September 2021 – EAA Chapter 1126 in Timmins, Ontario, Canada, recently honored the accomplishments of its longtime member Lloyd Richards, EAA 171396, who passed away on July 28, 2021. Lloyd had been a pilot for four decades and he flew Young Eagles every year from the program’s inception in 1992 until 2019. He served in several positions with Chapter 1126 including as president, secretary, and Young Eagles coordinator. He also served on the board of directors of the Canadian Owners and Pilots Association.

In recognition of his exceptional support for the chapter, the Young Eagles program, and general aviation, Chapter 1126 formally named itself “The Lloyd Richards Chapter.” Lloyd and his chapter both received plaques of recognition from EAA, with Lloyd receiving his plaque and the news of his longtime chapter’s new title shortly before he passed away.

The EAA Chapters staff offers its condolences to the family and friends of Lloyd Richards, and we thank Chapter 1126 for honoring his devotion to The Spirit of Aviation.
