EAA Chapter Benefits Program from Lightspeed Aviation

December 2022 – Since the launch of the EAA Ray Aviation Scholarship, Lightspeed Aviation has provided free Lightspeed Zulu 3 headsets to Ray Aviation scholars upon their completion of training milestones. Lightspeed has renewed its commitment with EAA to provide these headsets to the 2022 class of scholars. Your chapter’s scholar has now received or will soon receive one of these headsets.

In addition, EAA and Lightspeed are excited to announce a new initiative for chapters that participate in the Ray Aviation Scholarship. Lightspeed is launching a new program that offers EAA chapters the opportunity to earn money from the sales of Lightspeed headsets. Participating chapters will receive a custom link and QR code that can be featured in your chapter’s newsletter, website, or social media. This link will bring users to Lightspeed’s online store. A chapter will earn 10 percent of the sales from each Lightspeed headset purchased through its custom link and QR code.

Lightspeed will work directly with each EAA chapter that participates in this program. Lightspeed will handle all shipping and delivery of headsets purchased through the custom links. Each month, participating chapters will receive a payout from headset sales tracked by their custom link. These funds can be used to pay for any of your chapter’s activities.

“The success of our Ray Aviation scholars has been assisted greatly through the active participation of Lightspeed, and this new initiative increases its positive participation with EAA chapters,” said Jack J. Pelton, EAA CEO and Chairman of the Board. “Lightspeed understands the importance of EAA chapters in growing and maintaining grassroots aviation in hundreds of locations throughout the country, and we very much appreciate this new opportunity for our chapter network.”

“EAA has long shown its commitment to growing aviation through participation by young people in such programs as Young Eagles and the Ray Aviation Scholarship initiative,” said Allan Schrader, founder and president of Lightspeed Aviation. “Through this new EAA Chapter Benefits Program initiative, Lightspeed hopes to empower these great EAA chapters to continue to expand their reach and chapter vitality while still promoting a vibrant pilot community.”
