Ray Aviation Scholarship Corn Roast at AirVenture 2023
May 2023 – All EAA Ray Aviation scholars and scholarship coordinators are invited to attend a corn roast at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2023. This event will take place on Monday, July 24, 2023 at 5:00 to 6:30 PM CDT at the EAA Chapters Pavilion. This event is open to all scholars, including alumni and those currently in flight training. Each scholar may bring up to two guests of their choice. Each scholarship coordinator may bring one guest of their choice.
This is an excellent opportunity for Ray Aviation scholars to meet each other and network, and for scholarship coordinators to meet each other and learn from each chapter’s experiences. EAA staff members and the directors of the Ray Foundation will also be in attendance to thank the scholars and coordinators for their accomplishments and dedication.
This event will be held at the EAA Chapters Pavilion, located at the intersection of Schaick Ave and Deischer Lane in Camp Scholler. The corn roast will also include hamburgers, hot dogs, and other food and beverages.
Once you are at AirVenture, you will need to pick up a wristband at the EAA Blue Barn for admission to this event. The Blue Barn is located on Knapp Street across from the Forums Plaza, just north of the Wittman Airport control tower. Wristbands will be available at the Chapter Map inside the building.
We are also seeking at least 12 volunteers to help run this event, including cooking, serving food, and helping to clean up afterward. If you would like to volunteer, please click on the link below:
