Primary Non-Commercial Aircraft Category
EAA is working to incorporate the final recommendations of the aircraft certification ARC (advisory and rulemaking committee) into FAA regulations.
That includes a “primary non-commercial” category that would allow owners to modify their aircraft with non-certified safety and situational awareness equipment. Examples could include autopilots, angle of attack indicators, panel-mounted GPS units, and inflatable shoulder harnesses.
EAA is committed to giving aircraft owners access to current safety technology without prohibitive costs and regulatory burdens.Read: EAA Partners With FAA, Dynon for STC Breakthrough to Upgrade Safety, Reduce Costs for Aircraft Owners
