EAA is working to bring back available and affordable instruction in low mass/high drag aircraft, the vast majority of which are former two-seat ultralight trainers now certified as Experimental-LSA.
Current regulations reduced the number of aircraft and instructors available for flight training from 3,200 in 2000 to around 50 today. We are working to correct this problem through a combination of exemptions, letters of deviation authority (LODAs), and rulemaking.
