Eligibility Requirements

To apply, you must:

  • Be a U.S. citizen and at least 18 years old.
  • Hold a valid U.S. driver's license or FAA Medical certificate.
  • Be fluent in English.
  • Weigh 220 pounds or less and be 6'1" tall or less.
  • Be highly motivated and able to work long days as needed.

Application Process

  1. Apply Online – Submit your application for eligibility verification.
  2. Telephone Interview – If eligible, EAA will contact you.
  3. Deposit – Secure your spot.
  4. Pre-Course Work – Complete required coursework.

Prerequisites

Sporty's Online Ground School (included).

FAA Knowledge Test (must pass before arrival).

FAA Student Pilot Certificate via IACRA.

Course Structure

Off-site Preparation

Complete Sporty's Online Ground School.

On-site Training

  • Minimum 8-hour training days.
  • Hands-on flipped classroom model.

Curriculum Includes

  • Aerodynamics, planning, weather, regulations.
  • Flight training and solo flights.
  • Meets Sport Pilot PTS requirements.
