Delta Air Lines Bringing USA-Themed Aircraft to Oshkosh
By EAA Staff
Delta Air Lines will join the America 250 highlights at AirVenture 2026 on Tuesday, July 21. Delta is scheduled to bring a wide-body Airbus aircraft in a special USA-themed livery. The aircraft is scheduled to arrive at approximately 9 a.m. and will be available for tours by attendees throughout the day before its departure following the afternoon air show, at approximately 6:30 p.m. “As EAA AirVenture celebrates America 250 at Oshkosh this year, Delta’s presence will add even more to the red, white, and blue seen throughout the grounds during the week,” said Rick Larsen, EAA’s vice president of communities and member programs, who coordinates AirVenture features and attractions. “Displays such as Delta’s wide-body airliner further shows that AirVenture brings the world of aviation to Oshkosh each year, from the smallest ultralight to large passenger jets.” Along with the aircraft, approximately 200 Delta employees will be aboard as volunteers who will be hosting the aircraft tours sharing their love of Delta. These 200 employees represent more than 10 divisions in 23 different stations. Many of Delta’s employees can trace the start of their love of aviation to EAA AirVenture in previous years. “As America celebrates this major birthday, there’s no place better than Oshkosh to connect with the nation’s aviators in the spirit of flight,” said Captain Hans Lutjens of Delta. “As we’ve discovered through the years, Oshkosh is a marvelous place to showcase the people and aircraft that make Delta special.” Delta Air Lines has been a regular participant at AirVenture through the years with various aircraft displays and other activities.
