TFRs Announced for Super Bowl 50

January 28, 2016 - Members in the San Francisco Bay area are encouraged to check two new TFRs issued by the FAA for Super Bowl 50. The TFR listed under NOTAM 6/6446 is centered over Levi’s Stadium, has an inner ring of 10 nautical miles and an outer ring of 32 nautical miles, and is active 2-11:59 p.m. PST on February 7. Both rings extend from the surface up to, but not including, FL180. Aircraft operations within the inner ring are prohibited, except for very special circumstances listed in the NOTAM. Operations within the outer ring are limited to aircraft arriving and departing local airfields, and, ATC workload permitting, transit of aircraft on IFR or VFR flight plans.

The TFR listed under NOTAM 6/6395 is over downtown San Francisco, has a radius of two nautical miles, and is active from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. PST on February 7. It extends from the surface up to and including 2,500 feet AGL.
