Spirit of Aviation Mobile Experience Brings Oshkosh to Ohio

August 24, 2017 - The EAA’s Spirit of Aviation mobile experience presented by NATCA will be active at the Cleveland National Air Show September 2-4 at the Burke Lakefront Airport in Cleveland, Ohio. Attendees will get a chance to experience general aviation and EAA through a virtual reality theater, using Samsung Gear VR headsets to look around and experience a guided tour by air show pilot Michael Goulian.

Further inside are hands-on stations where EAA will host a variety of building projects. From helping to build a foam plane from Flite Test to making a cookie cutter using the basics of homebuilding aircraft aluminum from Aircraft Spruce & Specialty, everyone can get involved. There will also be two Redbird TD simulators where guests can get the feeling of being in the cockpit as well as an ATC simulator from NATCA to feel like they are in the tower. The Spirit of Aviation mobile experience will be open 9 a.m.-4 p.m. each day. A virtual tour and more information is available online.
