TruTrak STC Sales Begin

August 31, 2017 - Sales have begun on the STC for the TruTrak Vizion autopilot, sold through EAA’s subsidiary, EAA STC, LLC. Currently, the approved model list for the STC includes Cessna 172 F thru S models, and EAA and TruTrak intend to expand the list as expediently as possible. The $100 STC went on sale August 14, with a steady flow of aircraft owners equipping since then.

EAA’s Employee Flying Club has been flying the first installation of the STC in its 1976 Cessna 172M for the past month. Members have found the system easy to learn and use, and appreciate the safety features it brings to the cockpit, including its straight-and-level recovery button and overbank protection.

EAA members can purchase the STC through EAA's website and can buy the Vizion system from TruTrak. The system is currently priced at $5,000, including all brackets and wiring needed to complete the installation. TruTrak estimates installation time to be about 18 hours for an average shop.
