EAA Hosts Chapter Leadership Training Sessions
October 12, 2017 - EAA Chapter 1246 of McKinney, Texas, opened its doors to nearly 25 chapter leaders from 15 different chapters for a Chapter Leadership Boot Camp on October 7. David Leiting and Kyle Voltz of EAA’s chapters department visited to conduct the one-day crash-course training session. Topics such as managing your chapter, insurance, growing membership, nonprofit basics, and recruiting volunteers were covered in-depth.
“[It was] almost too much high value information to be shared in one session,” Chapter 1592 President Jack Porbeck, EAA 735489, said of the event.
“Everything was amazing, organized, professional, and the information was spot on! Loved it!” Chapter 1246 Secretary Lisa Wright, EAA 457041, said.
This boot camp was the first of three chapter training sessions scheduled for fall 2017. Chapter leaders can still register for the two-day Chapter Leadership Academy training session held October 25-27 at EAA headquarters in Oshkosh, which is completely free to attend. Additionally, chapter leaders on the East Coast can register for a one-day Chapter Leadership Boot Camp held on November 4 in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
