EAA Chapters to Play Key Roles at AOPA’s Indy Fly-In

Pancake breakfast, Aluminum Overcast tour stop, and more

May 29, 2014 - A number of EAA chapter members will be on hand volunteering in several key functions when AOPA holds its Regional Fly-In event this Saturday, May 31, at Indianapolis Regional Airport.

EAA Chapter 67, of Noblesville, Indiana, will run a pancake breakfast with help from several other Indiana chapters, while EAA Warbirds of America Squadron 3 of Indianapolis hosts EAA’s B-17 Aluminum Overcast tour stop that runs from May 30-June 1.

The other members working the pancake breakfast are from EAA Chapter 900, Carmel; Chapter 1121, Greenfield; Chapter 1354, Franklin; and Chapter 1311, Clayton.

Also attending the fly-in will be several EAA staff members, led by Jeff Skiles, vice president - communities and member programs – who will speak at the afternoon town hall meeting; Janine Diana, vice president of people & culture; Brian O’Lena, manager of Young Eagles and Youth Pathways; and Trevor Janz, manager of EAA Chapters and Eagle Flights.

EAA members are invited to stop by and participate in the event that will include static displays from aviation exhibitors, forum presentations, and a town hall meeting at 3:30 p.m. Flights aboard Aluminum Overcast can be reserved in advance.
