A Lasting Legacy

July, 2023 — The late Tom Poberezny, who served as EAA’s president for more than 20 years and was also renowned for his aerobatic and air show flying careers, was honored with a life-size bronze sculpture that was unveiled on Monday, July 24, at the EAA Aviation Museum. The sculpture stands across from a similar statue of Tom’s father, EAA founder Paul Poberezny, and presents Tom as so many remember him — with a big smile on his face, looking up at the Christen Eagle he performed in for decades.
