New Chairs for Operation Thirst
By Jessica Luft, EAA# 1084418, HR Business Partner
March - Becky and John Lowe of Aliso Viejo, California, are the new Chairs for Operation Thirst. The Orange County couple has been EAA members for about 20 years. John is a logistics manager at Northrop Grumman, and a certificated pilot who believes in giving back to aviation. Becky is retired from Verizon. Over the past four years, they drove trams during AirVenture Oshkosh. They are also experienced air show volunteers in support of the annual Wings Over Camarillo air show in southern California. For nearly 10 years, Becky has been the Hospitality Chair at the Camarillo Air Show, where she orders and serves food and beverage to more than 500 volunteers and performers each day. John has been the Ramp Boss at the show since 2007.
Operation Thirst is a longstanding volunteer effort that brings food and refreshments to fellow volunteers throughout the grounds. Thanks to John and Becky for stepping forward to lead this valuable service at AirVenture!
