Volunteers of the Year and Dorothy Hilbert Award Nominations Are Open
April 2017 - EAA members give so much to our organization, and EAA wants to give back to you by recognizing the work you do every day to lead The Spirit of Aviation through your dedicated volunteer service. EAA is excited to announce that the 2017 Dorothy Hilbert and Volunteers of the Year awards nomination process starts now.
2017 Volunteers of the Year Award
If you know of an outstanding volunteer who has contributed an extraordinary level of dedication, please consider nominating him or her today for the 2017 Volunteers of the Year Award! Selected volunteers will be awarded on Sunday, July 23, 2017, at the Volunteer Park with an engraved brick to be placed in Volunteer Park for all to appreciate during EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2017. This is a wonderful way to recognize someone whose dedication as a volunteer has inspired and motivated others.
Those submitting nominations are asked to provide information about the nominee through SurveyMonkey. This includes basic information, such as name and EAA number, as well as more detailed items, such as the number of years the nominee has been volunteering and how the nominee contributes during AirVenture and throughout the year.
2017 Dorothy Hilbert Award
Please also consider nominating a female EAA volunteer who exhibits the same passion, dedication, and devotion for volunteerism, as did the late Dorothy Hilbert. Those submitting nominations for the Dorothy Hilbert Award are asked to provide basic information about the nominee also through SurveyMonkey. The selected volunteer will receive a plaque and receive recognition during AirVenture on Sunday, July 23, 2017, at Volunteer Park.
The deadline for award submissions is May 31, 2017. If you have questions or wish to submit a paper form, please contact Cassie Bruss, EAA volunteer program manager, at firstname.lastname@example.org or (920) 426-4856.
