Thank You Volunteers

October 2016 - At EAA, this time of the year is when we reflect on the amazing things that happened in July. Each year thousands come from all over the country and world to experience EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, and this magic would not be possible without the support of our 5,500-plus volunteers.

This was my third AirVenture and I continue to be in awe of the commitment our volunteers have. For me, the best way to describe AirVenture is inspiring. When you look around the grounds you see hardworking volunteers putting in hour after hour to make sure EAA’s members and guests enjoy their time at AirVenture Oshkosh.

In 2016, we had a total of 251,422 volunteer hours recorded during AirVenture Oshkosh. Wow! As a volunteer for EAA, please take the time to reflect on another amazing year and your contributions in making AirVenture Oshkosh the World’s Greatest Aviation Celebration.

Thank you for what you do. Whether you volunteer at AirVenture, as a docent in the museum, as a Young Eagles pilot, or in any other way, thank you for going above and beyond by giving your time and passion to the organization and defining what an EAA volunteer is.

For some, we will see you July. And for some others, we will see you next week. We look forward to seeing our friends soon.
