Virtual Ultralight Days continues success of EAA webinars

More than 5,000 attendees during three-day event

EAA AVIATION CENTER, OSHKOSH, Wisconsin — (March 3, 2023) — EAA’s Virtual Ultralight Days returned in 2023 with 15 webinars over three days in late February, emphasizing the joys of “low and slow” flight. More than 5,000 enthusiasts attended the live webinars featuring a variety of ultralight topics including how to get started, maintenance tips, and airport operations.

The Virtual Ultralight Days program is one part of EAA’s robust online offerings for aviators or those interested in the world of flight. Homebuilders Week in late January saw a record number of webinar attendees in 2023, with more than 15,000 total. Learn to Fly week makes its debut in May with 11 webinars over five days, with the goal of helping aspiring pilots achieve their dreams. These events complement EAA’s year-round series of webinars that educate viewers on aviation history and present tips to become a better pilot.

“Two of our primary goals are to help pilots improve their skills, and inspire the next generation,” says Charlie Becker, Director, Chapters & Homebuilt Community Manager. “Webinars are an efficient way for us to help educate not only our members, but all those who are seeking more information on a variety of flight activities.”

All EAA webinars are free for everyone to attend live, and archived recordings are available to members online. The updated schedule and webinar archive are available at EAA.org/Webinars.
