Reserve Your Spot Now—Chapter Leadership Boot Camp at Spruce Creek
February 2016 - Last month, we had a tremendous Chapter Leadership Boot Camp at EAA Chapter 1 at Flabob Airport in sunny Riverside, California. Forty-two chapter leaders attended, representing 11 EAA chapters on the West Coast. Our hats are off in appreciation of Chapter 1 president Jim O’Brien, his wife Roberta, and all the members who welcomed us, fed us, and helped put on the boot camp.
Chapter Leadership Boot Camps are intense, one-day courses on how to be a better chapter leader. They focus on topics important to a chapter, such as growing membership, fundraising, and reaching out to a new generation of aviation enthusiasts. Boot camps are held at a host chapter and are open to any chapter leader.
The next Chapter Leadership Boot Camp will take place on Saturday, February 20, at Spruce Creek Airpark. The event will be hosted by EAA Chapter 288, Daytona Beach, Florida.
Immerse yourself in a wide range of chapter-related subjects, such as chapter business fundamentals, recruitment, fundraising, public relations, EAA chapter resources, programs, and more! Our goal is to provide as much training as possible in one day to prepare you and your chapter to meet the challenges ahead. You’ll fly away with a wealth of information.
Saturday lunch will be provided by the host EAA chapter. EAA staff will be on site Friday and Saturday evening to meet you and chat if you arrive early or stay late, and we will grab some dinner with you. If you plan to stay over before or after the boot camp, contact us for local lodging options.
