EAA AirVenture Oshkosh Offers Endless Chapter Activities
May 2017 - As the countdown to EAA AirVenture Oshkosh continues, it is time to start making your chapter plans for AirVenture 2017. Oshkosh always offers EAA members the opportunity to gather with one another, share ideas, and celebrate the accomplishments of the past year. Chapter members have multiple opportunities to take part in activities centered on these general principles.
Don’t miss out on the following chapter-related activities:
- Establish a central gathering point for your chapter during AirVenture, and register for chapter camping.
- Stop by the Blue Barn, the new home for chapters and Young Eagles located directly west of the Forums Plaza, to learn about the resources available to your chapter, listen to an educational forum, or find out how else EAA can assist your chapter
- Enjoy breakfast with fellow chapter leaders from around the world and celebrate the achievements of chapter volunteers by reserving your seat at the Chapter Leaders Breakfast.
- Sign your chapter up to compete for the coveted Oshkosh Chapter Grand Champion award. Your chapter will be judged on the ratio of your members in attendance, volunteer efforts by your members, how many members flew to Oshkosh, and how far your chapter traveled to get to AirVenture. Bonus points will be awarded for the best chapter campsite. To register your chapter, contact David Leiting at dleiting@eaa.org.
As Oshkosh approaches, keep an eye out for more chapter-related announcements!
