Celebrate EAA Learn to Fly Day!

February 2022 – EAA is excited to announce that EAA Learn to Fly Day is scheduled for May 21. This is the perfect time for your chapter to host a Flying Start event, and reach a new audience of aviation enthusiasts. Flying Start is an opportunity for your chapter to provide an open house event for those interested in learning to fly. Following a short EAA-prepared presentation, the event is often capped with adult Eagles Flights for attendees.

To make planning and executing a Flying Start event simple, EAA is updating the Flying Start webpage and associated resources. Some of these updates include streamlining material ordering, online pre-registration, and updated training videos. To aid in your planning, EAA is also hosting a Flying Start webinar on March 29 at 7 p.m. This webinar will cover Flying Start best practices, all of the resources at your chapter’s disposal, and how EAA can assist with event promotion and planning.  

Chapters that host a Flying Start event on May 21, or any day during the month of May, will receive two free weekly AirVenture wristbands to use as the chapter sees fit!
