Depending on where you live in Canada, the ground may already be covered in a blanket of snow. Some of us park our birds for the season, but others continue to fly. I encourage you to brush up on winter flying tips at a pilot safety seminar that may be offered at an EAA chapter near you, or watch one of the videos available on EAA.org.
We’re still seeking build projects to feature in Bits and Pieces. Your project does not have to be completed — it can be at any stage. Please email me if you’re willing to be featured in one of our issues, and we’ll interview you and craft the article.
Just a reminder, the EAA scholarship applications are open until December 19. Although it may appear that EAA scholarships are only for U.S. residents, there are several that are allocated for Canadians, so get your application in. Visit EAA Flight Training Scholarships.
The new year is around the corner, and with it, we ramp up planning for the Canadian pavilion at AirVenture 2026. We welcome your ideas for presentations and invite Canadian exhibitors to join us. Once again, send your input to me at chair.eaacc@gmail.com.
Happy landings and have a great Christmas.
