See You in a Few Weeks? We’re Headed to “OshKosh”

Well, it’s over for another year, but what a busy week for your fellow Canadian team. I won’t repeat Raquel’s excellent commentary, but I was there having fun.

It seems like those of you who attend really enjoy the camaraderie of our Little Canada campsite, so we’ll do it for next year, too. There was probably 50 or so Canadian campers of one sort or another spread among three sites, the main one being our Little Canada site just behind the movie theatre screen. Our Sunday night arrival dinner is always popular, and it was again this year. The only problem I had was a burst tire on the way home. Fortunately, it was only about 25 miles from home, so a tow truck was able to load my car and drop me off on my driveway. The tire was newish, so I must have driven over something really sharp and hard. The tire was completely flat in a matter of seconds, and when I looked at it, there was a two-inch split on the surface with some of the reinforcement wires sticking out. I hope the incident also threw whatever it was off the road, or the pickup services would have had a busy night!

Anyway, thanks to the few who submitted articles this month. After AirVenture I was expecting more, but there ya go!
