Get Ready for Learn to Fly Week!

February 2023 – EAA is excited to announce the inaugural Learn to Fly Week, presented by Sporty’s, on May 15-20, 2023. All chapters are invited to participate!

This weeklong event will be focused on helping people achieve their dream of becoming a pilot. After five consecutive days of virtual presentations (similar to Homebuilders Week and Virtual Ultralight Days), the week will be capped on May 20, 2023, with Flying Start events hosted by chapters across the country.

Any chapter that hosts a Flying Start event on May 20 will be offered two complimentary wristbands to EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2023. In addition, these events will be provided additional marketing support by EAA as a part of Learn to Fly Week. These events must be registered on FlyingStart.org.

Hosting a Flying Start event will allow your chapter to welcome, encourage, and educate new aviation enthusiasts about the fun, freedom, and accessibility of personal aviation.

Best of all, EAA is offering additional resources for chapters participating in Learn to Fly Week, including canned presentation materials, custom marketing materials, and special promotional materials.
