EAA Chapter 30 Receives EAA Chapter Banner

July 2015 - On June 6, Edmonton EAA Chapter 30 members were invited to the opening ceremony of Gerry van Dyk's new hangar and home at the Wetaskiwin Regional Airport (CEX3). Many members of the first Canadian EAA chapter in Canada drove or flew out from Edmonton to celebrate this well-crafted and furnished hangar/home. All were envious of the logical relationship between the builder and his castle as seen in practise by Gerry. Gerry did not disappoint in providing pulled pork and beverages. It was a wonderful afternoon of merriment.

I was invited to attend and took the opportunity to deliver the new chapter banner provided to the Canadian chapters via EAA’s Canadian Council.

If your chapter has not yet heard from an EAA Canadian Council member, stay tuned; the banners are here, and you are next on our list to visit after EAA AirVenture Oshkosh.
