Beringer Alaskan Tundra Landing Gear for Homebuilt Aircraft
By Ian Brown
August 2015 - If you like the look of Beringer wheels and brakes, you might be interested in its latest announcement at Oshkosh for homebuilders, especially of STOL aircraft: an oleopneumatic landing gear/wheels/brakes system. It might be really interesting to homebuilders, especially of plans-built bush plane designs. It provides no-rebound damping and 10-inch travel and is intended for large tires and rough terrain. It has been tested for rugged 3g landings.
Beringer Alaskan Tundra Suspension
The quality looks excellent, and this would be a great article in a future Bits and Pieces if anyone buys one of the first kits.
The name of the product speaks for itself: “Alaskan Landing Gear.” The Beringer clan was at Oshkosh in force, and it was a pleasure to meet them.
