EAA Canadian Council Looking for Candidate

By Jack Dueck, Chairman, EAA Canada Council

September 2015 - Your EAA Canadian Council works for you in many ways. You could have met most of them in the Canadian Tent at AirVenture, as several of them were making presentations on factors affecting Canadian members and Americans interested in Canadian issues like flying to Canada or building and registering an aircraft here.

The council also serves as a liaison between the Canadian membership and EAA headquarters. Council members happen to be distributed roughly regionally, but their experience, energy, and availability to their members is the most important qualification.

Candidates are being sought from within the Canadian membership to augment the current council, which is recruiting one volunteer member.

Duties include service to both EAA and Canadian EAA members as liaison and support.

Candidates should have a proven record as leaders in EAA activities, chapters, and volunteer service, and be able to commit time for group efforts and travel.

Candidates serve at the pleasure of EAA Chairman Jack J. Pelton for three-year renewable terms, up to eight years. Council member terms are staggered to allow a continuum in service.

If you are interested in this exciting initiative, please fill out this form. You will be notified of your candidacy by the end of September 2015.

Thank you for your interest.
