Volunteers working hard on the One Week Wonder in 2018

March 2023 – I cannot believe how time is flying — under 150 days until AirVenture 2023!

Plans for AirVenture are ramping up. Our ‘Little Canada’ camping area at AirVenture is almost full. This will likely be the last call-out for expressions of interest for camping in our collective area as we have been allocated a finite number of sites. If you’re interested, email Phil at: chapters.eaacc@gmail.com. We hope you can join us — it’ll be a great time!

Canadian aviators are full of fascinating topics, just waiting to be shared with audiences of fellow aviation fanatics. We have a variety of presentations lined up for our Canadian pavilion along the themes of: build projects, history, pilot currency, and flying adventures, to name a few. We would like to offer a series of presentations to promote tourism in Canada, aiming to showcase what each province or region has to offer for aviation enthusiasts. What airports would you recommend? Accommodations? Restaurants? Attractions? Most of all — the breathtaking beauty of our country from the sky. If you will be at AirVenture 2023, consider making a presentation. Email Raquel at chair.eaacc@gmail.com with your ideas.

We are actively seeking Canadian aviation businesses and organizations to be part of our Canadian HQ. If you represent a business or organization that would like to have a presence at AirVenture, either call me at 204-345-3750 to discuss or shoot me an email.

One void that I noted at AirVenture every year is the lack of Canadian EAA swag. Details are sparse right now, but that’s another initiative the Canadian Council has been working on. Hopefully, we will be able to make these items available online for all.

Best wishes and happy flying for 2023!
