By the time you read this, we will be just days away from AirVenture 2026. I’ve already been packing for weeks!

Check out the EAA Events app. The forum schedule is online and is live, so changes will be in real time. A few highlights include our session on Flying to and From Canada, two different sessions on CASARA, and how being part of volunteer search and rescue makes you a better pilot. We have two aviation history sessions — one on the history of the Tutor and the other on the history of the Snowbirds. There will be two sessions on building your own engine and on African self-fly safaris — personal experiences by a Canadian who has done it many, many times. For those of you who need your mandatory Transport Canada Recurrency Session, we have that scheduled on one day only, on Tuesday morning. And, we have a session on Friday afternoon with Transport Canada, a great opportunity to ask your questions!

We are very fortunate that our Canadian Breakfast (Friday morning) special guests will be the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, the Red ArrowsTickets are complimentary for Canadians to attend, thanks to our sponsor Global. However, you must stop by the Canadian Pavilion to pick up your tickets beforehand as a limited number are available.

We will have our Canadian Welcome BBQ at our Little Canada camping area (just behind the Fly-In Theater), on Sunday, July 19, starting at 5:30 p.m. Wander over, have a burger, and visit with fellow Canadians as we kick off an exciting week at AirVenture.

Of course, you cannot forget to stop by our Canadian Pavilion on Thursday afternoon for our signature Canadian hospitality of make-your-own ice cream sundae, served by your EAA Canadian Council board members.

If you’re willing to help out for a shift at the Canadian Pavilion during the week, please email me at chair.eaacc@gmail.com. We have some slots available. You’ll get a T-shirt and lunch is provided, either at the end of your shift if you work the morning, or before you start your afternoon shift.

And be sure to stop by the pavilion in the morning as we have coffee ready, compliments of Lost Aviator Coffee. We have Wi-Fi, cold water refills, and air conditioning!

No matter how you plan to arrive — fly or drive safely — we’re looking forward to seeing you at AirVenture 2026!
