Young Eagles Resources for Chapters and Volunteer Pilots

Young Eagles volunteers and EAA chapters are the driving force behind the Young Eagles program. The support of EAA’s chapter network along with all the volunteers has grown the Young Eagles program into the world’s leading youth aviation opportunity. To make it easier for chapters and volunteers to participate in the program, EAA has put together a whole host of resources.

Due to the growth and development of the Young Eagles program, there are a ton of resources! To help navigate what is available, EAA has broken the resources down into various sub-sections below.

Young Eagles Presenting Sponsor

  • Waivers

    • Minor Photo Release: Download this photo release to be signed by parents of youth who appear in a photo that the chapter plans to use for marketing/promotional purposes.

    • Adult Photo Release Download this photo release to be signed by adults who appear in a photo that the chapter plans to use for marketing/promotional purposes.

    • Waiver for Adult Passengers: Download the waiver for adult passengers to sign prior to a flight. This is for parent ride-alongs, not Eagle Flights. EAA typically discourages adult ride-alongs, but understand they may be necessary.

    • Young Eagles COVID-19 Waiver This is an optional waiver for the assumption of risk and waiver of liability relating to COVID-19 for a minor child.
  • Other Youth Aviation Activities

    • Young Eagles Build and Fly Program: The EAA Young Eagles Build and Fly program is an intensive RC model building and flying initiative to introduce youth to aircraft construction and the fundamentals of flight.

    • Young Eagles Workshops: EAA’s Young Eagles Workshops provide chapters with opportunities to offer youths a pathway to aviation through education at a local airport.

    • AeroEducate: AeroEducate is a FREE, online, self-paced learning-and-activity program that your chapter can utilize to engage youth ages 5-18. AeroEducate will help answer the question, “What can we as a chapter be doing after a Young Eagles flight?”

    • International Young Eagles Day: EAA sets aside the second Saturday of June each year to encourage EAA members and chapters to participate in the Young Eagles program. This annual celebration of our flagship youth outreach initiative has been a staple since the early years of the Young Eagles program.

Upcoming International Young Eagles Day Dates:

      • June 8, 2024
      • June 14, 2025
      • June 13, 2026
