Get Ready for International Young Eagles Day!

April 2023 – Dreams will take flight for young people ages 8-17 during the 30th annual International Young Eagles Day on Saturday, June 10. Each year we set aside one day to encourage all EAA members and chapters to participate in the Young Eagles program and share their passion for aviation with a new generation.

To help volunteers gear up, EAA is hosting a webinar on Tuesday, April 18, at 7 p.m. CDT about planning for International Young Eagles Day. This webinar will cover all the best practices and resources available to make this year’s Young Eagles Day a success. Get registered today.

EAA has many resources to help chapters and pilots fly Young Eagles. Check out our Young Eagles Volunteer Resources webpage for everything you need to ensure a successful experience, including rally planning resources, order forms for supplies, and much more! Remember that all Young Eagles coordinators and pilots must complete the EAA Youth Protection Policy before flying Young Eagles. For rallies, at least two ground volunteers must complete YPP to ensure two-deep leadership at the event.

Whether you fly Young Eagles as part of a chapter-sponsored flight rally or on your own as an individual member, or if you volunteer on the ground, we urge all EAA members to make sure that young people in their local areas have the opportunity to discover flying on June 10, 2023. To find International Young Eagles Day events near you, visit the Young Eagles Day website or EAA’s Calendar of Events, contact your local EAA chapter, or contact YEagles@EAA.org.
