EAA Raises the Curtain on AirVenture Fly-In Theater Lineup

April 14, 2016 – From aviation documentaries, to historical dramas and guilty pleasures, to the moon, Mars, and beyond, the EAA Fly-In Theater presented by Ford Motor Company will have guests covered at AirVenture Oshkosh 2016. Every night beginning Sunday, July 24, through Saturday, July 30, moviegoers can bring lawn chairs and blankets to the Fly-In Theater and enjoy a film projected on a five-story screen. And the popcorn’s free, too!

Located adjacent to Camp Scholler, the Fly-In Theater is reminiscent of the drive-in theaters of the past. Each evening the show begins at approximately 8:30 p.m. (approximately 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday and Saturday to follow the night air shows). Movies will be introduced by aviation icons, celebrities, and more.

Be sure to catch the following films:

  • Sunday, July 24: Above and Beyond and One Six Right (10th anniversary remastered edition), presented by filmmakers Nancy Spielberg and Brian Terwilliger, respectively
  • Monday, July 25: The Last Man on the Moon, presented by Gene Cernan
  • Tuesday, July 26: The Martian, presented by astronaut Kent Rominger
  • Wednesday, July 27: The Final Countdown, presenter to be confirmed
  • Thursday, July 28: The Guardian, presented by representatives from the U.S. Coast Guard
  • Friday, July 29: Special feature, to be announced
  • Saturday, July 30: The Blue Max, presented by Andrew King and Kermit Weeks

All movies at the Fly-In Theater are included with your admission wristband.
