AirVenture Aircraft Parking Updates

Report posted Sunday, July 30th, 2023.

General Aviation Camping and Parking Areas
The General Aviation Camping area and the General Aviation Parking area each came close to capacity, but remained open throughout AirVenture 2023.

Showplane Areas
Showplane areas accommodated experimentals (homebuilts), warbirds, production aircraft manufactured prior to 1971, ultralights, and amphibian aircraft.
These areas remained open for the duration of AirVenture 2023.

Field Status
Thousands of "ghost airplanes" are traced by footprints in the grass where aircraft were parked.  Those ghosts will gradually fade as the grass regrows before being covered by winter snows.  In 2024 the grounds will be ready to welcome another set of airplane arrivals.

Next planned update to this page: July of 2024.  See you then!
