AirVenture Aircraft Parking Updates

This web page was updated on Friday, July 24th at 8:15 PM.

Field Status:

The turf in Wittman Regional Airport aircraft parking and camping areas has remained generally firm and suitable for taxiing.  As always, however, pilots should pay special attention to areas marked with traffic cones and remain extra vigilant whenever taxiing on unpaved surfaces.

Showplane Areas:

Showplane areas accommodate experimentals (homebuilts), warbirds, and production aircraft manufactured prior to 1971.  These areas are expected to remain open for the duration of AirVenture 2026.  Arriving pilots should use the appropriate sign code as specified in the AirVenture Notice (e.g.:  HBP, HBC, VAP, VAC, WB, IAC, SP).

General Aviation Parking and Camping Areas:

Other General Aviation aircraft are accommodated in camping and parking areas in the "North Forty" and "South Forty" sections of Wittman Regional Airport (KOSH).  Arriving pilots should show sign code "GAC" or "GAP."  Ground volunteers will provide directions to the most appropriate nearby location.  An optional sign with an "N" or an "S" can also be used in the special case of a pilot requesting to be sent to the north or south area, even if it is not the closest.

The General Aviation Camping and Parking areas have remained open and accepting new arrivals in both the north and south locations.  These areas are anticipated to remain open for new arrivals for the duration of AirVenture 2026.
