AirVenture Runway 5K | July 25, 2026 | 6:30 a.m.
Experience what becomes the world's busiest airport from a unique perspective. Whether this is your first or tenth Runway 5K, this charity fun run/walk is a great way to kick-start your day! We encourage everyone, including walkers, first-time runners, and seasoned athletes, to participate.
The race kicks off at 6:30 a.m., and the course takes you through a tour of the AirVenture grounds. You'll have the chance to catch the early-morning sun rising as you run or walk among unique and incredible aircraft and get cheered on by the AirVenture community.
We invite you to stay the entirety of the day and explore everything that AirVenture has to offer. Shower facilities are available on our grounds. Gear Check closes at 9:30 a.m. If anything at Gear Check is left behind after that time, the items will be given to the main Lost and Found, which is now across Knapp St. from the FAA control tower.
Proceeds from this year's run will benefit the Oshkosh Firefighters Charitable Trust.

Parking
Free parking is available in J Lot. There is no cost to park in J Lot the morning of the race; let any attendant know that you are participating in the race. Participants are encouraged to carpool.
Time
Race check-in begins at 5:30 a.m.
Race kicks off at 6:30 a.m.
Please note that registrants must begin the race by 6:40 a.m. Late participants will not be allowed to start the race. The route will close at 9 a.m.
Packet Pick-Up
Packets will be available for pick up in the EAA Aviation Museum lobby during AirVenture. Please bring a photo ID or your registration receipt to be eligible for packet pickup.
If a representative plans to pick up packets on behalf of a group, they must email Runway 5k in advance to let us know who they are picking up for and they must bring an ID.

Wednesday 7/22: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Thursday 7/23: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Friday 7/24: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Saturday 7/25 (Race Day): In-person registration and pickup 5:30 a.m. - 6:30 a.m.
