Scaled Composites Forum Schedule Announced

June 15, 2017 - Scaled Composites, the storied aircraft company behind legendary airplanes such as SpaceShipOne, Proteus (pictured), and now Stratolaunch, announced its forum schedule for EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2017.

“We thought, maybe the best way that we can interact with the EAA community is to share some of this knowledge that we get not only in our day jobs, but also in our weekends and evenings when we’re working on our own aircraft,” said Bob Withrow, Scaled’s vice president of engineering. “It’s really exciting, for example, for our test pilots to give tips and tricks to people who are going to be flying the airplane they just got through building the first time.”

Scaled will hold a total of 40 forum sessions, each of them more than an hour in length. To

pics range from getting a homebuilt aircraft ready for its airworthiness inspection to a panel discussion of Stratolaunch, the largest airplane ever when measured by wingspan, which was rolled out for the first time on May 31.

There are expected to be six Scaled forums each day from Monday, July 24 to Saturday, July 29 and four forums on Sunday, July 30. These forums are sure to be full of useful knowledge for  AirVenture attendees, and many of them are being put on more than once to ensure visitors can see the ones that really stand out to them.
