Events for Aviation Attorneys and Doctors at AirVenture
July 6, 2017 - Aviation attorneys attending EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2017 are invited to this year’s Continuing Legal Education (CLE) seminar hosted by EAA’s Legal Advisory Council. The subject of this year’s seminar, which will be held Friday, July 28, at 10 a.m., is “What Every Lawyer Should Know about the FAA’s Drug & Alcohol Testing Program: A Primer.” It will be presented by attorneys who have represented both employers and employees in connection with FAA/DOT drug and alcohol testing compliance matters. The hour-long seminar complies with CLE requirements in most states and is free of charge to AirVenture attendees. Like previous years, advanced registration is mandatory due to space constraints.
In addition to CLE, EAA will be hosting its annual meeting of aeromedical pilot advocates. Pilot advocates are EAA member Aviation Medical Examiners (AMEs) from around the country who help GA pilots navigate the complex environment of aeromedical certification. EAA relies on this top-notch group of doctors from all fields and specialties for member referrals. This meeting will take place on Friday, July 28, at 2 p.m., and special guests from senior FAA aerospace medicine staff will be in attendance. Whether you are a current pilot advocate or are interested in being added to the list, you are welcome to attend.
If you are an aviation attorney or AME interested in either meeting and would like more information, please contact the EAA government advocacy team at govt@eaa.org.
