EAA AirVenture Oshkosh: Find Your Next Aviation Read at Authors Corner

July 14, 2016 - Authors Corner at AirVenture appeals to the true aviation bookworm in search of a great read. During the daily one hour sessions, distinguished aviation authors present their books and discuss it with the audience. Authors from all over the world come to Authors Corner to share their stories, about anything from biographies and autobiographies to fiction. A variety of other genres are represented, including historical, inspirational, fun and entertaining, art, how-to, and children’s titles.

This year’s lineup is exceptionally strong. Authors include:

  • Bud Anderson, WWII Triple Ace, with his book To Fly and Fight
  • Marc Wortman with his book 1941: Fighting the Shadow War
  • Kermit Weeks, author of Ostynn the Ostrich, All of Life is a School, and The Spirit of Lindy
  • Jim Busha and Hal Bryan, with their book EAA Oshkosh: The Best AirVenture Photography
  • David Prizio, experienced aircraft builder and author of Powering Your Airplane
  • Dr. Stearman, with his book An American Adventure
  • Jonna Doolittle Hoppes, granddaughter of USAF General Jimmy Doolittle, with her book Calculated Risk
  • Dick Cole, the last living Doolittle Raider and author of Dick Cole’s War: Doolittle Raider, Hump Pilot, AirCommando

The locations for Authors Corner are the EAA Wearhouse, Sky Shoppe, museum gift shop, and EAA Welcome Center at Four Corners. This year the EAA Welcome Center has been added as a new venue for some of the high profile authors. Authors will have their books available to purchase.
