Help Improve AirVenture Traffic Flow!

July 18, 2019 - EAA has commissioned Northwestern University's Transportation Center to study EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019 visitor and vehicle traffic flow this year, and you're invited to help!

Each day, up to 400 attendees will be invited to carry small GPS units that track pedestrian movement throughout the grounds. This lightweight device, barely larger than a pack of gum, retains no personal information, only anonymous data about movement and location on the grounds.

Stop in at the EAA Member Center at the Four Corners, just west of Boeing Plaza, to pick up a GPS device. (Look for the purple Northwestern University Transportation Center sign.) Carry the small device during the day as you move throughout AirVenture, and then drop it off at the end of your day. It's that simple! Plus, you'll receive a $10 gift certificate that can be used in any of our EAA merchandise centers throughout the grounds.

The anonymous data collected will be compiled with information from other sources to create an analysis model that will identify issues and opportunities for improvement. Results of the study will be part of a significant effort to address one of AirVenture visitors' top feedback items: reducing areas of vehicle/pedestrian conflicts and bottlenecks.

Be part of the solution! Working together, we can make the AirVenture experience even better. Thanks for your help!
