XP-82 Twin Mustang Wont Make AirVenture

July 19, 2018 - Noted warbird restorer Tom Reilly, EAA 802376, has regretfully informed EAA that, in spite of herculean effort by him and his team, his XP-82 Twin Mustang prototype won't quite be ready in time for EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2018. After 10 years of perseverance and more than 200,000 man-hours of work, the first flight and subsequent test flight program simply can't be rushed. You can still read the full story of this remarkable and unique restoration in the August issue of EAA Sport Aviation magazine, and we look forward to seeing the airplane at Oshkosh whenever it is ready.
