L3 Introduces Lynx NGT-9000 System Enhancements

July 22, 2018 - L3 Commercial Aviation announced today a new software upgrade that provides performance, start-up, and compatibility enhancements for the ADS-B Transponder and Display System. The upgrade, release 3.2, will be available starting in August for Lynx NGT-9000 operators. Current Lynx operators can visit their installation centers for the upgrade, which is free and will be standard in all new systems.

“We continue to invest and broaden the reach of the Lynx NGT-9000 with these release 3.2 enhancements, including the introduction of an interface with the Genesys IDU-680 EFIS, as well as other upgrades,” said Shane LaPlante, vice president of sales and marketing at ACSS, a business within L3 Commercial Aviation. “Lynx is a turnkey solution for general aviation aircraft and Part 27 rotorcraft, providing enhanced situational awareness, ATAS traffic alerting below 500 feet, safety, and ADS-B compliance.”

The Lynx NGT-9000 release 3.2 enhancements include:

• Enhanced GPS receiver performance and start-up time.
• Improved compatibility with the Genesys Aerosystems IDU-680 electronic flight instrument system (EFIS).
• Added support for dual control panel configuration.
